Is definitely one of the more successful examples of recent years, dealing as it does with a social phenomenon that has become a growing concern in Japan in recent years. Other a beer.Tatsuhiko Takimoto created one of the greatest light novels of all time, and tragically Madman hasn't licensed the anime in Australia. Is yet another one of those series that was once in ADV's hands, but now finds a welcome home in FUNimation's catalogue of titles. Welcome to the review… Welcome to the NHK is an anime TV Series that's 24 episodes long and aired in Japan in 2006. The recent shift has made America's. So when Welcome to the NHK showed the life and mind of a NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training) and hikikomori (a person suffering from acute social withdrawal), a situation that was somewhat unfamiliar to me at first glance yet was quite applicable to many . I am curious about reading the light novel that this series is based off of, but I may have to settle for the manga based on the novel that was translated and brought into the U.S. The Show: Welcome to the N.H.K. Tatsuhiro Satou is a twenty-two year old shut-in (hikkikomori) who one day meets our enigmatic female lead Nakahara Misaki. Welcome to the NHK started out as a novel by Tatsuhiko Takimoto which was then turned into a manga which became an anime. It's always an interesting thing to watch when the anime and manga industry abandons their normal wild world of superpowered warriors, giant robots and magical girls and instead focus on the real world. I've heard nothing but great things about Welcome to the NHK so I just bought it and since I'm more interested in novels than manga/anime most of the time, with a few exceptions of course, I went with the novel version. This is a novel (It is technically a light novel but it is nothing like a light novel so) that I got given as a present by one of my relatives. Got its start back in 2002 with a novel by Tatsuhiko Takimoto which was later turned into a manga in 2004 and then an anime in 2006. While part of anime's appeal has Welcome to the N.H.K. What he didn't mention is that Tokyopop is also going to release the Welcome to the NHK light novel! The anime follows a college drop out-turn hikikomori, Tatsuhiro Sato as he lives his life, deals with depression and how he attempts to once again become a functioning person in society. This is, without doubt, one of the most pathetic novels I have ever read. (Light Novel) manga info and recommendations. Welcome to the NHK is not for the faint of heart, but it might be harsh medicine for anyone who wants to clear themselves of an anime, manga, or other otaku fixation.
